Mini Basketball Hoops

NEW Mini-Pro II

Basketball Hoop and Ball Set

You asked for something bigger - so here it is! Building on the popularity of our Mini-Pro I, we are happy to introduce the Mini-Pro II.

This new backboard and ball set has the same JustFlexTM rim and lower bracket as our original hoop, but with new colors. You can easily upgrade your existing Mini-Pro I hoop with this new backboard.

The acrylic backboard is 24"w x 16"h and 1/4" thick. It has a full tubular steel frame behind the backboard and aluminum trim and backboard padding on the front. The white border and shooter's square add to the authentic look.

The set includes our new 5" Mini Synthetic Leather Basketball (see picture below).

Features

  • 24" x 16" x 1/4" clear Acrylic backboard with white silkscreen border and shooter's square.
  • Aluminum trim with black foam backboard padding.
  • Welded tubular steel frame with support brackets - painted with an all white powder coat finish. Our SingleStudTM wall mounting system aligns both brackets on one stud for easy installation. This bracket system attaches to the wall with three lag screws (included). The bracket stands the backboard off from the wall by 6".
  • 9" welded steel rim with real eyelets and our JustFlexTM mount - works like a break-away rim. This rim is made of 5/16" round steel and powder coated with gloss orange paint.
  • 12" white, all weather net.
  • The set includes a 5" Mini Synthetic Leather Basketball (see below).

Autographed Mini Basketball Hoops

Get Your Hoop Autographed

Here is a great way to turn your Mini Basketball Hoop into a collectors item or a gift for your coach.

We had this one autographed by the Grand Rapids Hoops - a CBA team from Grand Rapids. We only brought the backboard and a black Sharpie marker to the game so we didn't have to worry about carrying a fully assembled hoop and it made it easier for the players to sign.

If your child plays in an organized basketball league, a basketball hoop autographed by the team makes a terrific gift for the coach at the end of the season. To add a little team spirit, you may be able to have a team logo made by a local sign/vinyl graphics company and apply that to a blank backboard.

Whether it's for play or display, your Mini Basketball Hoop by JustinTymeSports will last for many years.

Mini-Hoop Games: How to Play the Game of HORSE

You can play as many different games on your Mini Basketball Hoop as you can on a full-size hoop. In this series "Mini-Hoop Games", we will explain the rules of some of the most popular games including H-O-R-S-E, 21, Around the World, and more. Each month we will explain a new game. This month's game is H-O-R-S-E.

The game of H-O-R-S-E has been around along time and is still very popular. You can play with any number of players and improve your shooting skills in the process. The object of the game is to NOT get the letters.

Determining Who Starts

Each player takes a shot from the Free-Throw Line - the player who misses first, starts last. The player who misses next is next to last. Each of the remaining players continue shooting until there is only one player left and that is the player that starts the game.

How to Keep Score

You receive one letter each time you miss a shot that was made by the previous player. You receive the letters H-O-R-S-E in order. When you receive the letter "E", you are eliminated. The other players continue playing until only one player remains - that player wins the game. You may want to allow a player two shots prior to receiving the letter "E" - this gives them a second chance to stay in the game.

Playing the Game

The player who won the Free-Throw contest starts the game by choosing a spot on the court and taking a shot. If the shot goes in, the next player must make the same shot from the same spot on the court. If the shot misses, the next player is able to choose their own spot and their own shot. Each time a player misses a shot that was made by the previous player, they get a letter. Play continues until there is only one player remaining - this player wins the game.

Note: The player that chooses the shot and the spot must announce anything special about the shot prior to shooting the ball. For example, you can call a bank shot or a swish. For your shot to count, it must go in the way you called it. If it does go in, the next player must make the same shot from the same spot in the same way.

Suggested Shots

You can make up your own shots, but here are a few typical shots you can use. You can also call the use of left-hand or right-hand for many of the shots.
  • Set Shot
  • Jump Shot
  • Bank Shot
  • Hook Shot
  • Layup
  • Slam-Dunk (360 Jam, behind the back, etc)

Variations of the Game

You can easily vary the length of the game by choosing different words like "PIG", "ELEPHANT", etc. Just remember to keep it clean and always Keep Your Mind On The Goal!
