What is the backboard made of?
Our backboards are made out of 1/4" clear shatterproof polycarbonate - the same material used for many full sized backboards.
Can any ball be used with the backboards?
Although the backboards are very strong, they can be damaged if used with the incorrect ball. Our Mini-Pro I should only be used with a light-weight ball (less than 2 ounces) to prevent the backboard from over-flexing which can cause the backboard to break. Each of our mini basketball hoop sets include a ball of the appropriate size and weight.
What is the recommended mounting location for these hoops?
The mounting screws must be able to attach to a sturdy structure such as a stud in the wall. Once mounted to the wall, the hoop bracket does not move so it will not scratch the wall. When the hoop is taken down, you can easily fill in the holes with spackle and paint over.
Do I need to create an account to place my order?
No - creating an account is optional. When you check out, you can choose the "I just want to place my order without creating an account." option. However, an account is required if you want to use a promotion code.
Where do I enter my promotion code?
You will be able to enter your promotion code during the checkout process. If you are a new customer, choose the "I am a new customer" option and click Continue Checkout - you will be able to enter your name, address, and promotion code on the next page. If you are a returning customer, choose the "I am a returning customer" option - you will be able to enter your account e-mail, password, and promotion code?
